Array importing to Canada Before I warm up my plastic and purchase gear, I want to find out what the extra charges put on by Customs and Immigration are. Do any of the other Canadians on the board purchase from foreign suppliers, and if so what duty charges have you been hit with?
I am just trying to figure out if I am better off paying the seemingly high prices charged by Canadian suppliers. I have a feeling it is going to be better to buy from an Allstar rep. here than from a supplier elsewhere (our dollar is so low right now, and Customs charges have caught me off guard for other things in the past).
Thanks,

I'm a fencer in the US and I have to say that I order my equipment from the Allstar Rep up there (I believe his name is Herb, I think there are seperate suppliers in Quebec). In my experience his stuff is of superior (read: not counterfeit) quality and, of course, the exchange rate favors me heavily. I'd go with your rep there. Similar Threads -
