| Hey, new poster here ^_^ I suppose i should start things off right by telling a little bit about myself. I guess I'm relatively new at this sport, three years on varsity foil (cause i'm too slow for sabre and an easy target for epee) but I'm having a solid year with my personal record, so it's something to be pleased about (woot!) I fence for my high school team in NY, I'm 16 right now and i'm currently wasting my life building a website for the team because no one else wants to. And our team's pretty much a joke, but we put a valiant effort into our bouts. It's just that fencing is a very disrespected sport at my school and kids make fun of us a lot
So anyhow, I prefer pistol grips during competitions, but I use a french grip during practice. And I'm infamous for getting shoulder touches and neckline touches. And I'd like to make new fencer friends So give me a holler sometime!

| Welcome. I hope you post a link to the website sometime. It'd be interesting to see some examples, I"m thinking of setting one up for my club. Whatever the kids at school say about it, it sure is a fun sport, isn't it? It's better then tossing around a pig cadaver anyways. Enjoy your stay on F-net, and I hope it's not just a one time introduction. These guys are a pretty fun bunch once you get used to 'em.
And Pistol grip? What kind?

| Welcome, welcome... Always good to have more and more foilists here.
Jack - don't say it until you've been to a real village pigl-slaughter... It's REALLY much work, and almost no fun... at least until the first dishes are ready!

Though I was at a pig slaughter up near sacramento. The food was delicious.

Hmmm... delicious things, yeah |

| Welcome to a fellow newb! Keep it up with the HS team, that's awesome! Ours was snubbed by the administration, but we'll stab... err, show them someday!
Pistol grips are the best, but not those wretched Belgian ones. Ew. |

I've never tried Italian grip, but someday I'd love to get the chance! French I'll be feeling out again once I've got a glove that fits. |
