...incidently I did quit my new -now old- job today, and was seen to look manically happy as I printed the letter of resignation (at work, about 10 mins before I left) (had only been there for 3 weeks). Not a complete waste of time though - I learned a great deal about what I don't like to do and thereby what I can and cannot fundamentally deal with. Also got enough money to take snowboarding lessons. Which is good.

OMG! We should so compare notes on Lotus Notes. I have it at work, and it really does suck goat dicks! I'm with you ZZ!

I had to take training classes and build Lotus Notes "databases" for two years. Bastardized VisualBasic, plus an idiotic formula language that couldn't do much of anything, and virtually impossible correllation between the two. I even had my client force me to write an exporter from LN to MS Access... from one disaster to another.

This really should go in the soapbox thread, or at least a new soapbox thread on how badly LN sucks.

I left that job and have generally been much happier for it.
