| Nhl OK, so the Carolina Panthers blew it big time.
But what about the awesomeness that is the Carolina Hurricanes?
I know two of the players from doing tests on them in the past and we've kept in touch, so needless to say I'm a fan
Anyone else into the NHL? (expects to hear crickets) |

| I'm in Germany, but I still watch game clips on tsn.ca. I really wish the Oilers and Canucks had better goaltending though.

| I grew up in a hocky family. HUGE Philly Flyers fans. Unfortunately, I have really fallen out of the hockey loop since I moved down here. |

| The new rules in the NHL definitely enhance the games, and implementing the shootout was a stroke of genius. Hockey ROCKS.
And the best team to watch? Nashville Predators!

| Hey all - I am definitely a hockey fan. Don't have one favorite team since I don't live in a market city per se. The Blackhawks are the closest and I've been to a few games there. We have an AHL franchise (won the cup a few years ago) - The Milwaukee Admirals. I have played hockey recreationally for about 10 years - although I haven't played in a couple years. I plan to join a league again next season. The game rules in my opinion. I am not really sure about the new rules in the NHL. I think some of the changes are quite bad although I understand what they are trying to do. It could completely set back several teams who spent a long time building a team for a particular purpose - defense. Offense-minded teams suddenly have an advantage with the rules and the shootout. I could go on for quite some time, but I won't .

| In three years, the Penguins will own your souls... but for now I think I'll stay out of the discussion, being the only diehard penguins fan in the known universe at the moment.

| The penguins already own my soul ... In my defence I thought they were a bunch of short nuns... one looked like my aunt and I figured "How nice to have relatives come to visit"... sure I should have questioned why they wanted raw fish... anyway the rotten penguins stole my soul when I was replenishing the raw herring and ran … okay waddled back to Antarctica with it!...
Never turn your back on a penguin (or any bird for that matter). They're evil... evil I tell you! This paranoid moment was brought to you by Fencergrl Inc. Copywrite 2006… Results may vary depending on which drugs you do or do not take and if you have short nuns for relatives... We now return you to your regularly scheduled thread....

but watch out.... | Well, I'd be far more worried about the Pens if:
1) They had gone out and gotten a defenseman or two rather than more offense
2) Malkin was enough of a team player to come out this year, rather than next year when his agent says it's more likely that he'll win the Calder
