    Looking for a vendor

At our fencing facilty in Amarillo Texas I have a store set-up in which we sell to a lot of fencers in our area.

I have been ordering from this company and that company to fill my stock.

I am looking for a compnay that might do some items on consignment or reduced for our club's "trading post"

We don't sell on the internet or anything like that and we would sell the items for the exact same price that the vendor has them in there ads and what-not and even credit the vendor we go with as the supplier.

Ideas? What are other clubs doing?

Vendors I know you are on here, send me an e-mail

You might want to talk to The Fencing Post, I think they have an arrangement with a fencer down in our area vague like that. On the other hand, Absolute allows their gear to be resold by fencing.net under the Absolute name for the same price, so you might also contact them. Finally, Sword-Masters is the local vendor for this region, although I don't know if they'd be as interested as the more budget companies.

I already dropped him a line.

    Matt,

Ask Toby Tolley at DCF who she uses for that. I know she has stuff for sale at her club.

If he weren't located on the other side of the Mississippi from you, or you had budget gear of your own, I'd probably recommend dealing with you. Certainly if I wanted a mix of LP and budget gear I'd get it from you. I just wish I needed enough fencing gear I could buy it from all the folks I wanted to. There are just too many cool people in this business.

Toby and myself are friends I'll try adn call her this afternoon.

I've used swordmaster and post and many others in the past.

I'm really hoping to find someone that will let me have some high end gear on a consignment basis and then stock the middle level stuff.

I am not a vendor, but my coach is:

For Ukranian (StM), Favero scoring equipment and various other stuff:

    Escrime Line International

    Link for Clubs

For "High End" Uhlmann/Allstar I would order direct from Europe. Big savings.
Great service. I ordered from them in the past:

I wouldn't say she has a full on store. Merely a cabinet full of some supplies. I think she has 2 Vniti epee blades, some T-shirts, some fencing magnets and other neat things. That's about it. I think it's been a while since anyone has bought from that cabinet. She does sell alot of socks and parts as well, although I think she gets them from the tournaments she goes to; especially when she can go to Germany and can get the Uhlmann stuff for less money.

So you mean like if Craig/F.net offered a house brand of gear, maybe called something nifty like Enlighten or FDN that was in the "budget" range and of good quality?

Good gear for the money (I have been please with everything I have tried so far and have tried just about everything on that list except the blades and bags) and top notch customer service. Plus once you are ready to go high end, FDN carries most of the big name brands.

Look at what year that was posted.

At the time, Fencing.net was reselling Absolute gear at Absolute prices, and I assumed that Craig wouldn't find it practical to resell the gear he bought at Absolute to Matt at a price that Matt's students would pay.

Holy crap! Sorry man, I completely missed that this was a resurrected post. Maybe we should stop telling people to use the search function after all! I am very much not used to looking at the date of a thread a few post up from the "recent" one. Cville = on this one...
