You must like Latin proverbs, and the fact that I spend a lot of time online. I strongly dislike fashion statements, and prefer single-color clothing on everyone around me. You must like a good long argument, and accept that I take sports seriously. If this fits you, please answer to:
In-the-fourth-position, PO this newspaper
Have a nice time!
Peter Gustafsson | Hmm. Interesting how most of that fits me. Latin, yes, online, yes, single-colour, yes, as long as it's purple.... |

Whatever. |
double standards???
i never would have guessed THAT.
we're smarter now than we once were. we can, in fact, override our biology.
--- of course, there's also a theory that says that anyone who would immediately accept a date from me couldn't do better than me, so i shouldn't want to date them......... unfortunatly, if you purely play by that theory, you'll NEVER get a date...... which is obviously not the desired outcome...

I don't need to find a girl. That means I'll have to commit to one. Something I don't really feel the need to do. Personally, I enjoy the dating, hanging with friends, and being single. Sure, the girls eventually get tired and move on, but then again, so do I. So it all works out for now.

The usual scheme was to get take them out and get them drunk, for which some of the old slang was "tight" or "tipsy". And then you would take them home for the usual fun between two people.
And of course, everyone knows that you need a wench to tighten a loose screw.

The term hasn't really fallen out of use, but it's un-PC for a number of reasons. For example a women is a **** if she sleeps around, but a guy is a stud. Which is why I often refer to myself as a male-****.
Personally, I've always hated it since it is a highly negative term and implies that there is something wrong with having sex. Edit: Wow, who knew that the singular of sluts get's censored?

| I never felt comfortable about the inequality of men paying for everything… now before I get recited the differences in women and men’s wages… I just want to reiterate that it’s simply how I felt when I was dating.
When I dated, I was in search of a man I can have a relationship where we were both equals. Having him pay for everything felt like we were starting out on the wrong foot.
Sex had nothing to do with what a man bought me. I have sex with men who I want to have sex with. I spend time with men I wanted to get to know.
My husband had a really hard time with me at first. He is a very generous man. As a woman who has always been fiercely independent (even as a very young child), I felt (and still feel) uncomfortable about people I don’t know giving me something for no reason.
As I’ve got to know him, I felt more comfortable with him surprising me with a gift “because it was Wednesday” etc… His generosity with the people around him is one of the things I truly love about him. I love it because it is genuine.

Regards,
Feltan | i have friends who are "slutty", and friends who aren't opposed to "open relationships". i think that it's VERY different, although i put no value judgements on either.
people who are sluts tend to have sex with people they wouldn't want to spend large chunks of time with as friends... they're simply in it for the sex. people who are into open relationships usually aren't very serious about the person they're seeing, (exceptions, as always, exist), but do have a friendship with the person that exists outside of the bedroom.
it may be a meaningless distinction..... but the distinction has been made in terms, and clearly the people labeled either might get offended.
(for the record, i have never put myself in either category. and i haven't been called slutty since before i lost my virginity......)

| LOL!
listen to this absurd argument with my friend Matt, its sort of related, though not really =P ~
Me: I dont know, I like the whole chivalrous, stereotypic "knight in shining armor" thing... but so he'll still listen when I tell him to do things...
Matt: You cant have both! If you want chivalry, you basically cant do anything, and yet you want to be the boss - it doesnt work!
Me: What, so you can't compromise? Its not like I like the whole thing, just the courtesies that are owed to a woman - for example she can hit you, but you cant hit her back ((he doesnt believe in this concept, which started the whole thing))
Matt: no, you can only have one or the other. the end.
(we reach the point where we head in different directions)
Me: bah, begone, small-minded fool.
Matt: You're small minded! You believe in stereotypes!
Me: Just that one! And anyway, YOURE the one who doesnt believe in compromise - you must realise you're never going to have a working marriage.
Matt: Stereotypical! (both walking away yelling to each other)
Me: Just face it! We're both wrong!
[/threadjack] (hehe... I dont know, it just came into my head!)

I am sure they exist, but never really affected me when I was dating. Rather, the distinction I remember was rather clear: there were some girls you would take home to meet Mom, and some you wouldn't.

This is why I'm not a fan of open relationships. Why commit if I'm not that serious? I'd rather just continue to play the field...

One of favorite movie quotes is from the Maltese Falcon, when Peter Lorre gets slapped and grabs Mary to retaliate, Bogart intervenes saying, 'When you're slapped, you'll take it and like it.'
Always made an impression on me, and I've always just taken my slaps...
