Thanks. I made the rounds of the vendors at Pittsburgh and they all claimed they weren't available any more. Including Blue Gauntlet, but maybe I just asked the wrong guy...

Yeah, he was on crack... I was so excited when I saw them in the foil bucket, but I already spent too much money that weekend.

ah, but how long will they last. I bought a blade glove that got a large hole in within a 1 or 2 months of twice a week practices. I knew about blade before that but it was at a tournament. Although Absolute was there too, I guess I'm just an idiot.

he meant it turns all star stuff to crap
which is BS because allstar is allstar anywhere, as long as it is genuine allstar, but blade's customer service does suck. Allstar and Ulhmann stuff is incredible though

Assuming he meant the most basic foil blade bought via Allstar, it's just a rebadged StM or Dynamo. Not exactly crap, but certainly not comperable to the quality of their FIE gear.

You should think about stopping in at Absolute, in Bridgewater. They're closer to you than BG is, I think. You might just find that you like them better, too.

Yeah, well even a blind hog finds an acorn every once in a while.

The trend seems to be that they get the first order right and then procede to screw up every subsequent order until the slow learners go elsewhere. My experience with PC/Blade/Russian Mafia was their pre-wired blades all of which I immediately removed the tip and re-pinged the bottoms to keep them from flying out of the barrel on the third contact. Bottom line - POS (piece-o-sheit)

Well, based upon what I've heard on this thread, I'll probably not take the chance and order from them again. If ever I do work up enough money for any more equipment (which I know I will have to do within a few months) I will probably go for Absolute or here at Fencing.net. Eh, time will tell.
