Regarding points/ranks/etc.: Whatever, it's just got to be strong enough tournament to warrant a road/plane trip, and setting aside a weekend. The IL division is encouraging all hosts who cannot offer online registration at this time to use FRED to do so. Our recent RYC did, and the next two weekends both offer online preregistration through FRED. Also, I believe Northwestern is considering using it for it's future events, which would include the Remenyik (which in the last two years has been an A4 in epee, A2/B3 and A3 in foil, and B2 in sabre (A2 if another A showed))
To be honest I haven't had time to read all the replies to this thread, but if it hasn't been mentioned, there's no good reason all these major events like the remenyik, duel, rose, pouj, pomme, etc etc etc can't be weighted and assigned points, just like the sat. circuits for the FIE. In the cases of events where you're worried about some events being weaker than others, when you offer points, a certain amount of fencers chasing them will start attending an event in the hopes of grabbing them up, thus to some extent solving your problem. -

Array Ok, no problem thanks for taking so much time to manage and watch this board, I don't know how you have time for reading all the great threads and information that people put out.
If it is established.... The Crown of Texas in June would be the event to use from the Plains, Tx division.....
More info is on my signature line. -

He runs it with electrical equipment and with the new timings. It might as well be the "New Ages" with Enya and crystals in the background. -

Array Cool, I thikn it's a worthy cause. A regional/national circuit kinda underground but everyone will know about it. It just willnot be ran by the national office.
We need to think of big incentives to get everyone to participate...... -
Or we could just concentrate on making sure they are good tournaments and consider that the main incentive. -
