You guys so have to do the "fencing strip wedding" we discussed!!!!! With the referees lined up!
When you have three Romulan Warbirds blocking the escape route, Worf has an emotional breakdown about his childhood toy, Riker announces he's gay, Data's positronic brain gets a virus, and Geordi quits because he's had just one too many imminent warp core breach.... Just sit back, breathe, and follow these simple steps:

    Hi all, and thanks.

Just noticed the thread, don't spend much time in the WC (actually found it under "New Posts" rather than by coming into the cooler... is that a new feature from the upgrade? Don't remember it from before.).

Scary thing is Ty and I were talking about how surprised we were that DJA HADN'T started a congratulations thread (he'd PM'd me). Heh, guess he did. :)

To answer a bunch of the questions (implied or explicit)...

I proposed on New Year's Day (12:01). Original plan was New Year's Eve (11:59), but I left it a bit late and decided to wait until after the ball dropped.

'Tyler' is a she-name in this case as noted by MP, although it's MUCH more common for boys In the US it's one of the top 10 most common new baby names for boys currently, although it was significantly less common when 'my' Tyler was born/named. And, of course, it IS a surname. According to the 1990 US Census, overall it's the 198th most common male given name, the 2663th most common female given name, and the 415th most common last name.

My given name (Bradley) is the 128th most common male given name and the 181st most common last name. It doesn't show up at all as a female given name. For reference, "Brad" is the 219th most common male given name.

For more fun with name frequency.

We haven't had any discussions re: date/location (of either ceremony or honeymoon). I can't say we're likely to register at Bloomingdales. LP is unlikely, but I won't rule it out. :)

Anyway, thank you all. Tyler and I will both be in both Houston and Hartford for those of you who wish to repeat your messages of well-wishing (or condolances) in person.

Or she could just wear white because she feels like it. If she did, the only reasons I might suggest she change her mnd is fewer tongues might wag if she had a child present or was known to have been previously married. Even then, what she wears is her business, not the guests, and so is her sexual experience.

    Brad,

Of course I'd start a thread! come on now...

I PMd you first to make sure it wasn't my sinus infection making me hallucinate that I heard that... as that would be a pretty embarassing oops thread... THEN I posted the thread.
