Rules of Single stick

I just purchased some single sticks and have done some reading Alliance Martial Artist website has some resources. Does anyone know the rules. It use to be a part of the Olympic games.

Tie your left hands together, stand left foot to left foot, take a high quinte guard, and try to hit the other guy on the head.

First person to bleed from the head--I believe this is known as having a "broken crown"--loses.

I'm not kidding, by the way.

Yup... what Sabreur said. Maestro MacDonald is teaching a class on it at WMA. Hopefully, the AHF (Assoc. for Historical Fencing) and the AHFA (American Heritage Fighting Arts - part of Alliance) will be working together to do a 19th century American martial arts weekend (sabre, dueling sword, cane, bowie, Arkansas toothpick, rough and tumble wrestling, navaja, bayonette) in upstate NY next spring or summer.
