Array Forum is back! ....... Almost? :) Hehehe.
Good news is that I can access the Fencing.Net forum again! Bad news is that it looks hideous. Upgrade away!
Hey, am I the first one to post in the year 2006? When you have three Romulan Warbirds blocking the escape route, Worf has an emotional breakdown about his childhood toy, Riker announces he's gay, Data's positronic brain gets a virus, and Geordi quits because he's had just one too many imminent warp core breach.... Just sit back, breathe, and follow these simple steps: -

Array Ah-hah! Yet another early poster! Alas, I cannot rep you until I distribute its glory elsewhere first. I guess I missed the forum coming back online...but I took an excellent nap while it happened. Hehehe. I just happened to to drop by the site while cleaning and reorganizing my hard drive, as well as reorganizing e-mail files. I wasn't even really trying to get back on Fencing.Net like a forum junky or anything.
I oughta have taken naps, though. However, defragmenting 1 TeraByte of HD space (you read it right, 1000 GigaByte) is like refereeing an exciting Epee bout. Long periods of apparent inactivity (even though there's a lot going on in there) punctuated by instants of ciritical decisions and actions taking place right before your eyes.
I've got a good stack of 100 DVD-R's worth of back ups burnt, labeled and file away, too, now.
Ah~~ Nothing like clean drives to start a new year. Where the hell can you get one of those!?! Nevermind... I probably can't afford it... -

Array Um.... same places where you can get $1,298 gaming video cards? Where else? On-line merchants!
Actually it's not as bad as it sounds. You can build up a collection of hard drives over time and set up a stack of them in your case. Heck, since they released 500GB drives to consumer market, price of 400GB ones have been dropping! (well, maybe dropping like a feather in a hurricane) Add a couple of them to your existing ones, and you got yourself a TeraByte entry-level leet boXor. When you have three Romulan Warbirds blocking the escape route, Worf has an emotional breakdown about his childhood toy, Riker announces he's gay, Data's positronic brain gets a virus, and Geordi quits because he's had just one too many imminent warp core breach.... Array I just noticed something funny after the last post.... This is the Water Cooler section, right? The video card setup mentioned above can ONLY be used in conjunction with liquid-cooled heat management system. Kinda like a radiator for your PC.
Otherwise, you will be talking to your local fire chief why they had to bring their big red truck and hose down your game box..... again.
Serious over-clocking action there. And it's not even the leetest gear out there, nor the most expensive! When you have three Romulan Warbirds blocking the escape route, Worf has an emotional breakdown about his childhood toy, Riker announces he's gay, Data's positronic brain gets a virus, and Geordi quits because he's had just one too many imminent warp core breach....
