| 'allo Hello all! My name's Sasha (username is my middle name) and I've only been fencing since September on my high school team, but I love it already. I only fence foil now since I only just began, but I hope to learn sabre too sometime.
Otherwise, I'm 14, was born in Moscow, Russia, but live in PA now. I adore music (mostly 70's and 80's classic rock, but many other kinds as well. Right now I'm very into Phantom, Les Miserables, and Les Choristes.) and my two basic obsessions are David Bowie and a Russian singer Alla Pugacheva. I love reading, singing, movies, and - obviously - fencing. I'm also somewhat of a hippie and am quite strange at times, lol.
So yah - thats about it about me. ^_^ |

| Welcome Sasha. Interesting avatar you have there . Remind me never to mess with russian foil bunnies. Do check out sabre when you have the chance, and I hope you have fun on the boards and in the sport.

| haha - no it most definitly is not (I can NEVER remember how to spell that word so ignore please)
Bolshoio sposibo, needle. Rado videt shto ya ne idinstvenaya Rusianka zdes!
I'd type in Russian, but I dont have the little stickers on my keyboard so I dont know where the letters are! Abracadabra (typing in Russian with english letters) can get confusing to read. Anyway, I shouldnt be surprised - I've learned that a large percentage of the American fencing community is Russian! (well, at least in Pittsburgh!) |

| As I said, I shouldve expected that, lol. Russians seem to dominate. Even my fencing coach was originally coached by two Russians. My nickname at fencing is actually "ShortStuffsky" (considering I'm 4'11").
One more thing - does anyone else sense a lack of Fencing buddy icons??? I've found all of 2 so far and they both suck. |

(But my coach is russian. Well, ukrainian to be exact. He used to be the head coach of Ukrainian fencing. )
I do know a bit of polish though. I can speak and understand a limited amount of words and phrase. Understanding signs etc. is no greater problem but their spelling is a killer! |

| Good God! Another crazy Russian! We're soon to have F-Net overrun with Ukes and Russians!
Yea!!!!! Perogies and Kobassa for everyone! Oh... and plenty of Vodka!
*Fencergrl begins to wander off in search of sour cream and a really large vodka glass, then pauses at the door and shouts “Oh by the way… welcome to the forum Sasha!” I have always liked that name, as it was my Grandmother’s... oh and watch out for Needle's hands!"* |

| LOL... I'm just teasing Needle. Have no fear, he’s fun to tease and give a hard time to. You’re young enough that he’ll behave himself... |
