I've also been lead on, purposefully or accidently, and it stinks. I would never put someone else through that to help my self confidence.

I am so sick of guys, or people in general trying to be completely opposite of who they are just to attract you, then expect you to accept them for who they really are, when you've fallen in love with the seemingly "other" side of the personality. So no, I would never lead anyone on. People are going to see me for who I am and if they think I'm intimidating, stupid, or whatever word they want to put there, then so be it. I'm not going to argue.
