| Fencing Scholarships do you guys know of any colleges that offer fencing scholarships? I'm having a hard time finding any that do. Lots of colleges have fencing programs, but don't mention it on their sites. Any pointers?

That being said, fencing scholarships are pretty hard to come by even at schools that do offer them.

| Much more difficult for men than for women, (although it's not easy by any means.) There just aren't nearly as many women fencers as men. Every college coach I've ever talked to says the same thing, "I need more girls!"
Good luck Bebe!
(Maybe you should talk to Brad (aka oiuyt), he coaches the Temple team. |

| fencing scholarships? Interesting because lately I've heard a lot at tournaments about college coaches recruiting athletes with no fencing experience because there aren't enough fencers. (which I thought was odd because I see an abundance of fencers)----of course I'm dealing with a teenage girl fencer so that might make a difference.
Also heard that Reed College in Portland, OR actually didn't give away it's fencing scholarship a couple of years ago. |

Usually the best you can hope for is a little help with admissions, and then the school having sufficient need-based financial aid. |

| The only colleges that give scholarships are the NCAA ones, but they do not necessarily have scholarships for all their fencers.
There's also the Rose Condon scholarship, but I believe it is restricted to Caddo Magnet fencers only. |

| Actually, afaik, NO schools have athletic scholarships for all of their fencers. If I recall correctly (the book is at school, not here) you can't have more than six full scholarships per gender (i.e., 2 / weapon). And many schools have either fewer or no scholarships for fencing. |

| Thats because you're an aussie.
If you want a scholarship in the US (a full ride) you have to be insanely good.
