I am willing to accept that this is the case.
    HOWEVER, looking at the website:

    From:

    1. Only uniform in the world to have the external seams sewn over dependant on the orientation of the garment
    2. Elasticised adjustable braces
    3. Stretch Material Internal Seams sewn over Moulded Zip
    4. Metal waist clip fastener

    4. The Evolution breeches is Duellist's premier line featuring style not seen on other uniforms with custom black pinstriping. The first uniform to look as good as it feels.
(Bold added to indicate the only distinctions made between the two on the webpage)

This, and also the fact that the pre-features descriptions for each are identical, makes it very difficult for someone to be made aware of the fact that these two lines may be similar but "significantly different."

Well I've ordered a pair of the duellist evolution 350 newton knickers.
My only regret is that I won't be able to compare the fit and difference between them and the classics.
Based on what I saw at pittsburgh however I plan to be very satisfied with the material. I just hope they fit the way I'm hoping.
I've long since stopped growing, but I recently-ish outgrew my currect pair of knickers, FIE PBT, balaton I believe. Too loose in some areas and too tight in others (over my legs, for example, which are admittedly disproportionately large even for fencers).

I'll post a report as soon as I get them and try them out.

    Triplette Improves

Many changes have taken place at Triplette Competition Arms. To name just a few, new products with assorted choices in price, color and design, improved pattern design, quality management, a revised customer service plan and processing of orders along with a new website www.triplette.com to allow online ordering in the very near future. Over 20 years of experience is now combined with fresh new ideas for a great company. If you are a TCA customer, allow me to say THANK YOU. We care about you!! If you have never given us a try, I would encourage you to do so. If you have had past problems, let me know so I can make it right. We care about you too!!! TCA believes that price, quality and care matter the most.

    (SNIP)

I'll post a report as soon as I get them and try them out.
I received the knickers a few days after I ordered them. I tried them on but they were too small, so I re-ordered a pair two sizes up. Shortly after (the same day, or maybe the next day I don't actually remember) I was at a Subway getting a sandwich before going to see a movie when my cell phone rang from a number I did not recognize. To my surprise who is calling me but Rick Shellhouse of DuellistUSA. We talked for a bit and the gist of it was that they did not have the size I had just ordered (54, two up from the original pair) in stock and that they would be sending out a pair of size 56 knickers for me to try and that returns would be handled separately. My credit card was not charged for the additional pair of knickers.

I received the second pair of knickers and unfortunately they were too big. So I emailed duellist explaining the situation. After a couple of days I re-emailed them and just got a response saying they had not received that first email, but that they had ordered (from england) a pair of knickers size 52 and when they arrive will be sending them to me express.

In all I was and continue to be impressed by the level of customer service and support I've received from Rick Shellhouse and DuellistUSA. In addition, other than the sizes I've tried on so far not quite fititng, I'm pleased with the quality of the knickers and plan on being very happy with a pair that fits.
DuellistUSA should be added to everyone's short list of vendors you wouldn't hesitate to do business with.

I order most of my stuff from Triplette (and have for 12 years,) as do others in my club. I have always been impressed, especially with cutomer service. Given their Southeast location and the fact that they usually ship witin 24 hours, they can certaily get things to me quicker than the others without additional express shipping charges. Most of the complaints I've heard are about teir masks and uniforms. I have not ordered many uniforms from them, but my newest jacket (a cheap non-FIE) is a TCA, and I'm happy with it so far.

I, too have ordered the knickers and like them very much. I had a bit of issue with sizing and replacement thereof which is similar to yours. The full story is posted in the Q & A armoury section under the heading of "Duellist USA?" I thought I was still having issues, but I received a response from Duellist USA on the forum. Good Stuff, Good People, Good Service. What else could you want?
