Hey, dknj, love ya, man. Thanks for the info. Really cool.
But, ummmm.... Well, don't you have a responsibility to the organization to take care of the USFA's data in the way that organization is expecting before you share it with anyone else on a non-USFA message board?
Just saying. You know.
It's not like there hasn't been enough complaining here already about who and why and whatnot to blame for the smooth flow of USFA processes.

Well,
If he was getting paid as the USFA website administrator, you may have a point.
-and-
If the USFA website was actually up and running consistantly, you may have a point.
However, he seems to be disseminating information via a site that is both popular among fencers, and frequently available.
Well, if he was getting paid ... and if the USFA website was actually up and running ...
OK, Feltan, let's put it in a perspective even you might be able to understand: You ask a guy to put together some information on your own website. But before that even gets started, you see the guy has posted it somewhere else -- i.e. NOT your website. And you're OK with that?
Kudos to the guy you asked to handle the task for putting you off.

My ability to understand things is probably a bit better than you seem to give me credit for.....

If my goal is to get the information out to affected individuals, I would be happy no matter how it got out. I would also probably be a bit embarassed that my own website wasn't up for the task, and would have -- several months ago -- taken action to correct things. The last thing I would do is chide a dedicated volunteer for taking action.
I think what we need to do is thank Dan for posting the information and not bítch at him for the inadequacies of the USFA website, which as we know doesnt pay him for such services.

It takes about a minute, probably, to post this message on this board. On the other hand, to take the data and convert it into the proper HTML will probably take, oh, maybe half an hour, depending on how hard it is? I don't think the USFA will mind that the information showed up on the website a minute later than it might of because Dan posted to fnet.
Well, heck, as long as it serves "the greater good" ....
What else can we post here before putting it on the USFA site? Skip the middle man entirely! We don't need no steenking organization website. Dknj, post away, man.
(Really. The next time any of you ask someone else to do a particular task and they run next door first, think about your argument here.)
OK, I have an important question: I dont see my name on teh confirmed entries list, even though I have received the fax from the USFA office days ago... This is my first NAC and I have never dealt with a situation like that. What should I do?
