NACs and Summer Natl's

Are the Summer Nationals actually North American Cup events? In club we don't distinguish between the two, but it just occurred to me that Summer Nationals couldn't really be NACs since they are exclusive to the US.

You're right. The events at The Summer Nationals are Championship events, not circuit (e.g. NAC, RYC) events. As far as I know, only US citizens and permanent residents are allowed to compete at The Summer Nationals.

Note: the Y10/Y12 events at Summer Nationals are not Championships events. Not sure whether or not they have the same requirements for citizenship/permanent residency.

In any case, they are not NACs. Nor is JO's a NAC. Among other things, note that they aren't listed on the NAC entry form.
