Array Epee's Very soon, I'm going to be entering the world of epee, by buying a pair of epees and bodywires. Looking at getting Uhlmann BF blades (some other people are ordering, so I thought i'd tag along). Any bad "batches" lately? I've heard conflicting stories about their durability, but then again, all I'll really be doing is hitting the wrist
Comment!
(please)
edit: Whoops, should've mentioned I was after the whites.
Are blues sucking lately?

Array FWIW, word is, both on this site and after I spoke with a Cartel distributor here in France, there seems to be a bad batch of white blades running around. They tend to break at the foible, an inch or an 1.5 inches from the tip. I don't know if you can "avoid a batch" as evidently it is no longer necessary to include the year in the FIE stamp.
The BF whites I've used over the years are light, but quite rigid.
The BF blues are similiarly light but more responsive. I don't know exactly what I mean by that--you can flick with both--but the blues just feel better somehow. Similar Threads -
