Array oh...they're KILLING me! I hope that was a joke...
There have been times when I've emailed sellers at eBay (I'm Buffymoon, by the way), to tell them what they're actually selling. I figure that if you don't know what you're selling, you shouldn't be selling it! "Words are, of course, the most powerful drug used by mankind."

Array That is freaking hilarious.
The best I ever say was an auction for a nice shiny teapot. Trouble is, you could see the reflection of the big, fat, naked guy who took the picture in it.---scary!! Whatever doesn't kill you, is gonna leave a scar...

Array Hah! Perhaps the guy's got flicked to the back of the head too often and decided to quit the sport.
Or he's NEVER seen a single comics with a fencing mask illustration.
Or he's an idiot. -

Array ooh...latenight! I'm laughing so hard I'm CRYING over that one! "Words are, of course, the most powerful drug used by mankind."

This item was chosen for its great Patina, its stand over the test of time, and the character that it adds to any home or office!
This is a fencing mask made by Corello, which is America's oldest fencing manufacturer. The fencing cap and mask are a size medium and it is in useable condition. [quote]

Only in Beverly Hills...
Corello...don't remember that name (and I started fencing in 1971) But could be an old Costello mask.
I want to know who they sell it to... I've got some more stuff for 'em... -

Array I wish I still had the teapot email, I'd send it to you!
I've said it before and I'll say it again, EBAY rules for getting rid of your old crap. I got back about 80% of my purchase price on a bunch of worn out smelly junk. Just put a whole bunch of it in one lot-and voila, instant cash!! Whatever doesn't kill you, is gonna leave a scar...

Array OMG!!!! I about fell off my chair when I saw that picture! Does he really think that's how you wear a fencing mask? Not even my beginners have ever done that.
Hey, look! Boba Fett! -

Array I'm planning on selling a few things on eBay, as soon as I can get it collected. I've got a TON of junk!
But at least I'll be more informed. "Words are, of course, the most powerful drug used by mankind."

WOOOOO
fencing troll!!!
it is all a part of my plan to slowly take over everyones collections and turn them into fencing collections. First Olympic tiggers and fencing trolls, next...boyds bears, baseball cards, and transformers! -

Array The troll is cute, but why is he wearing his mask wrong?
he needs to go to item Item # 1041070474 and see the right way to wear it.

The sad part is, I've actually seen someone try to put a mask on that way before. He was only six years old, though, so it's not so surprising as this guy. -

Array After looking at the picture more clearly,
it does appear to be a Costello brand. It
may be "America's oldest fencing manufacturer",
but it's so old as to be completely gone.
Costello was done in by American Fencers
(yay for AmFence!).
I'm guessing the bib, which probably was
snapped on, is gone and he didn't know
up from down without the bib. But still,
how does one see past the head tongue?
Try fencing with a two-inch piece of cloth
over your nose... you got blind spots up
the yazoo. -

Array Don't knock the troll! Mine has yellow hair and used to be one of those "unusual" things found in your fencing bag (was a gift from a co-worker, actually). Now he resides on my wife's bedstand along with her fencing and soldier bears.
As for the mask, well, it takes all kinds to fill the freeways, and seeing as how LA has more miles of freeways than anywhere else.........

Array Perhaps he thought it was a sort of spangenhelm, with a biiiig nasal...
Or maybe he's so good, he only gets hit on top of the head...
He DOES describe it as a "fencing cap", after all.
What a maroon. Use the Shift key, people! Keyboard manufacturers everywhere are ineffably saddened when you ignore what they made just for you! -

Array Actually, the troll made me think of Derek Snyder!
Those who fenced in SoCal or at Pacific Coast event know who I mean! -

Array I wonder if anyone will buy those two items. -

I would definitely buy an ugly fencing troll and a mask from a guy who doesn't even know how to put it on! How could anyone possibly do otherwise? -
