Array How long do you travel to get to training? I'm interested in finding out how far people have to drive/travel to get to training. Personally I'm doing a round-trip of about 2.5 hours, twice a week.
What's your round-trip time, and how often do you do it? If you train at multiple salles, choose the furthest away for the purposes of the poll.

Array I travel 15-20minutes from my work to the Hall of training...cool
Yesterday I do a break in my work I went for training and then I come back to continue the work. The purpose of tactic is to conquer the enemy with proper war movements and actions.

Array Well, technically it takes 20-25 minutes to travel from my home to the salle or vice cersa, but since we're in habit of popping into a pub for a few aprés-saber beers, it usually takes waaay much longer to get back home than it takes to get to the training... Array Generally it should take me longer than 30min each way, but the speeds at which I travel can only be measured in increments of warp speed.
Strangely, I'm always in a hurry, but I'm never late. Winning isn't everything, it just lets you fence longer.

.. and what about those who go to different clubs
so it'll be flawed -

Array i've been known to go 2+ hours each way. 4+ hours of driving for 1.5 hours of fencing. -

Array It generally takes me 1 hour to and one hour from. I was doing this 4 times per week, however, I've been in a real fencing slump lately, and have taken the advice of the board members and have cut back. -

Array The club I train with is in another city about and hour and fifteen minutes away from me, or two and a half hours round trip. There is a club in my town, but I started it and coach there so most of the fencers at that club are not good workout or training partners for me and there is no one to take lessons from. I have someone fencing at my club that lives even farther out that also coacha a club in their home town but are in the same boat as me. For that matter, several of the people I train with at the club I travel to also travel once a week to another city to take lessons from their coach! I think fencers should get xmas cards from Exxon thanking us for our support... Just another lost soul saved by the (hit) First Church of EPEE!

Array fortunately, I only live about 10 min from the club, so it's pretty easy for me to get there.
I know a guy who comes to our club sometimes who lives in Idaho. It's a 3 hour drive one way. Poor guy. -

Array I train at two clubs--one is about a five minute walk from my house, the other is a twenty minute drive from my office and a forty minute drive from home. Why sabre? Because you don't take heads with the point. -

Array i practice three different places:
college practice: 5 minute walk, WITH all my gear
club near college: 15 minute drive, ~20 minute bus ride
club i go to when at my parents': .......... well, if i'm going alone (which i almost never ever do) it's probably not much more than an hour and a half. but when i'm picking up one person at his house, meeting another near the highway, and then picking up another at a T stop, it quickly becomes over 2 hours.
all times one way. -
I learned to fence in college. When I would go home in the summer, I would have to drive to a different state to fence. It was a 2+ hour drive each way. When I would go to a tournament, I would drive down, park at the rec center, and meet up with them for a carpooled ride of an additional 2 hours. All for the love of the game, right?
Needless to say I'm pumped to have a club within 15 minutes drive of where I live now -
1 hours 15 mins each way. -

Array It's about 30 minutes (including a tram ride) from door to door between my home and the club. If I go to the club from work it's slightly longer, about 45 minutes. -

Array 6 minute walk, or 2 minute bike ride. Take your time. Read carefully. -

Array About 30 minutes. I seem to live 30 minutes away from everything in this town. The solution to your problem is to fence another weapon. -

Array about 3 minutes including the elevator ride. :P
i live on my college's campus, and the sports hall is just down the stairs and 100 m to the left yayness!

Unless its 3:30-7pm, in which case it's 90 minutes... -

Array It depends on where I go. If I go to the OTC, it's 15 minutes each way (30 min round trip). When I go to USAFA, it's about 45 minutes (1:30 round trip). If I go to Denver, it's around 1:45 each way (3:30). When I'm well, I'll spend ~15 hours on the road for training a week. Don't let 'em drop it. Don'tlet'emdropit. Stop it... bebop it.
