Another stupid bag question

It seems that every company has their own version of the deluxe bag- the one with two compartments and a removable top bag. so far i have seen one from Uhlmann, Allstar and PBT and i haven't even looked everywhere yet. Does anyone have either of these bags? How durable is it?

And yes, i am aware that this is my second thread on the same topic today.

I have the Allstar bag with the detachable top compartment...

HIGHLY recommended, if you do much travelling. The added space is a major bonus, and I'll throw civ clothes in the top bag when on extended trips. Keeps everything nice and seperated. My bag has been on many many adventures domestic, and international - some general wear, but nothing unexpected. I replaced the original wheels with rollerblade wheels. I also had the wheel frame re-welded after one particularly hard journey, but that was more my fault than the bag's.

Yes... it is expensive.

The one weak sport on any bag hard or other is the wheels I replace alot of wheels at NAC and weld frames as well.

I have the allstar 'Jumbo' model (the one with the detachable top bag) and I absolutely love it. You can stuff quite a bit of things in it!

The top bag is great for putting clothes in or bringing weapons to weapons control etc.

I've only had it since May 2004 but it's already been on a couple of flights and travels. So far it's holding up very well, nothing ripped, torn or scratched. I agree it's rather expensive (and probably more so for you than it was for me!) but I highly reccomend it.
