Big hello from boring Arbroath,Scotland Hi
i just thought i would say hello. i was wodering if there is anyone in my area that we like to meet up and have some fights (preferably someone with experience) as the members at my club are just beatable (looking for a challenge). If you are not experienced but want some one to one coaching i would be more than happy ( i am trained to coach foil, hopefully will be on a course for epee).
please let me know -

Array Hello and welcome to the forum! Good news - there are several other fencers from Scotland here, including our resident epee-toting moderator, Gav. Pound for pound, the amoeba is the most vicious animal on earth. -

Array How about going to one of the Dundee clubs? They shouldn't be too far away from you. Or Aberdeen? The Stalwart Panda

Array have you tried fencingforum.com which is a British run forum overrun by scots contributors - admittedly they spend most of their time arguing with each other over Scottish Fencing and how it should be run. I caught this morning morning’s minion, king-
dom of daylight’s dauphin, dapple-dawn-drawn Falcon, in his riding
Of the rolling level underneath him steady air, and striding
High there, how he rung upon the rein of a wimpling wing
In his ecstasy! then off, off forth on swing,
As a skate’s heel sweeps smooth on a bow-bend: the hurl and gliding
Rebuffed the big wind. My heart in hiding
Stirred for a bird,—the achieve of; the mastery of the thing! -

And your point is? At least we keep the others entertained with our in-fighting. Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing how the people from Englandshire get on in the next few years, could be quite amusing.... The Stalwart Panda
