| Looking for a blade To start off, I've been out of fencing for a while. I recently got back into the sport when I moved up to college, and I now fencing fairly regularly. So I've started to collect new equipment so that I can begin competing in tournaments. Now, the question is what blade do I get? I've been using an old France Lames FIE blade that has lasted me for a good little while but I understand that sometime since I got the blade they've gone out of business. I'm now looking for a new FIE blade to start using as my main weapon and I'd like something that feels similar to the FL blade that I have (flexible at the tip and stiffer at the forte). I've been looking at the Viniti blades and I was recommended a WKC blade. Does anyone have any thoughts? I'd really appreciate any help you could give me. Oh, and for the purpose of discussion let's assume that price isn't an obstacle (yeah, I wish ).
Thanks |

| This has been discussed a great deal before so you should be a thread search RE foils. My take is go with a Vniti, or an LP flickmaster if you don't like the weight of the Vniti but do like the overall feel. Failing that, go with an LP Golubitsky pro or a BF FIE blue. Be sure to check out the product review section.

| i would go the vniti. it is pretty stiff, but has a nice flickability toward the forte. it last forever, i''ve had mine for over a year with some pretty heavy use, can't complain.
