| fechtsportlangenkamp.de website? Has anyone imported from this company to the US? Did you pay any customs/duty? There prices inclusive of shipping seem way better than anywhere if making a decent order. Please let me know...Thanks |

| I have used them a fair amount. I have never been hit with any customs or import duties but all of my orders have been under $1000 US, usually between 3-800. Keep in mind their website is in the Euro and your CC compnay may charge a (very) small conversion fee, but we do not pay the VAT since they ship outside the country. They are the best way to get Uhlmann or Allstar gear in the US that I have found, short of going to GER yourself, and chances are you would buy from them anyway as they are at many of the tourneys there.

| Make sure that you know exactly what size you are ordering. Excellent quality, price, shipping and service (except for returns). If you are ordering more than $200 of clothing, you might get stuck with a custom tax.

| As JEC said regarding returns. I also think he is correct about clothing. I mainly order parts, blades, gloves, cords, lames, mask's ect. I think there may be a loophole in the customs laws about clothing that acts as "sports items" or some such however. In one of my orders I had a couple of lames, a few pairs of shoes and a bunch of other stuff and I don't recall any customs or import fees.

| Fechtsport-Langenkamp Lionfencer,
I’ve ordered most of my kit from Fechtsport-Langenkamp. They stand by their products and ship promptly. No customs or duty on orders up to $600.00.
I find it very easy to highly recommend these guys.

| I strongly recommend this supplier.
But I live in UK, so I don't know about the customs.
I've just received my equipment today, it was shipped 6 days ago.
Don't hesitate to ask Mr Langenkamp if you have any question about your order, he will answer you quickly.
It is the best shop I've found, for fencing equipment is very expensive in UK and France (I'm French) compared to the Allstar/Uhlmann Germany prices which are very interesting, but they don't deliver goods in the countries where they have exclusive distributors.
Hopefully, Fechtsport-Langenkamp prices are the same than Allstar/Uhlmann and they will ship your order everywhere in the world! So I had no hesitation! |

| Indeed he will. He understands English perfectly as well, so no worries there.

Simply picking the right card out of your wallet can save 2-3%
There are some US based issuers of Mastercards and Visas that offer CC accounts that only charge a 1% FX fee vs the typical 3% fee. Since I both travel and order from overseas a lot, I use a CC that only charges a 1% FX fee and as a bonus has a 1% cash rebate promotion for the next year -- basically making my FX costs 0%.
btw for those who have trouble remembering how to spell fechtsport or Langenkamp, they also have the easier to remember URL: http://www.fencingshop.de/ |
