    The USACFC: Still in existence?

The United States Association of Collegiate Fencing Clubs.

No information available on the web since the championships of 2004.

Does it still exist? Is it active? How does one find news/info?

    Enquiring minds want to know...

They're still around, championships at Clemson this year. I suspect most people involved are more concerned with their clubs than the organization as a whole.

You have two opponents, the one standing on the strip, and the one standing to the side of it.

The championships were held in 2005 as well (hosted by MSU, much information posted here on f.net, not to mention the article in the current issue of American Fencing).

The website is currently (and for entirely too long) gone. Not to go into details, but the person currently tasked with it is waiting until the association has a bank account to pay for hosting. The bank account is waiting on non-profit status. The association currently has a federal EIN, has applied for non-profit status as a Pennsylvania corporation and with the IRS. Part of the delay was in waiting for the lawyer handling this process (pro bono) to receive notification that he passed the bar (which he has now done, which is why we're moving forward).

The Yahoo group mentioned by Will is a good source of information. Questions can also be directed at the officers, Bruce Capin (Florida), Jon Moss (UNH), Paul Schimmelman (Texas), and myself (Temple). Feel free to drop me a PM with anything you need to know.
