| I think you're insane for posting at 5:37 a.m. Other than that, I'm only looking at the shoe. I can't fully judge a shoe just by how it looks. Let me wear it and see how it feels. Yea; it passes visual inspection - but a lot of crappy fencing shoes do.

| The heel padding does not look good enough. You will need the soul of the shoe to come further up the back of the shoe. The inside of the shoe (as in the part that drags on the ground seen in the last picture) seems to be well supported but could have more because it gets worn away so fast.
I also dont like the bottom of the shoe. I've seen people fence in shoes with similar shape and the foot tends to rotate because it is not flat. I think it should be a single, flat piece.
But hay, its a prototype right? Why dont you "steal" designs from other fencing shoes and put them into one shoe? that might work. Just an idea.

| the sole looks like it will get slippery soon, since the pattern is so shallow. |

If you look at the bottom of your fencing shoe you will see that the heal isn't worn out all the way to the end, in fact the end cup area is probably completely unworn. Same as the arch area and the area between the ball of the foot and the tiip of the toes, unworn. These parts of the foot never grip the ground so a lot of tread there just makes the shoe heavier.
Also there is tread on the inside area for more push when the foot rolls over when lunging.
You guys like the way they look? |

| since you asked. Tried to upload a markup image but had a problem..anyway consider this:
Add slightly more rubber around the side area under the forefoot, then transition rubber back to your existing profile
...looks like some flattened and sectioned (or grooved) full width pads could be added to the area directly under the ball of the foot...maybe 1-2 mm (1/16" thick) adds more wear area and maybe improves lunging stability.
This would be directly under the ball and transition thinner as the sole approaches the arch of the shoe?? these would be narrow full width pads about 15mm wide under the ball then get a bit wider as you transition/blend to the arch underside
Added contact rubber up the nose of the toe box to improve or minimize the possiblity of a fencer suddenly slipping. transtion and blend back to sides. (look at Merrell or New Balance cross trainer shoes)
Same for the heel at the sides..more rubber up the sides to aid in control when shifting side to side or iff the foot is lifted upwards..less sudden slip and more comfortable heel.
Should the toe box be a little larger or do you plan on a separate shoed for larger male fencers?
looks like the shoe diamond pattern would wear quick.- suggest a non marking gray vibram or colored Kraton rubber material. The overall design looks great ( no actually very great!!).[u]
I can email a separate JPG marked up image of your side image if you like. |

| compare to these reverse lunge...take a look at the Leon Paul/ Hitec shoe (listed with Fencing .net)
has the increased contact area on one side outside the ball/forefoot- although it could possibly be improved with more material on the side going rearward and gradually blended to the arch side.
I also like the opposite side with the "stablilizing" geometry. The design also has the horizontal gripper treads I mentioned earlier (just a lot smaller)
Their tread is also reverse cored- giving grip but maintaining contact with gradual wear. ...PS- yes they do look good, just like the girl that Archilleus once dated. Products needs to have a WOW factor in performance not just looks..otherwise you are just a me too company. A few good shoe examples include Sidi, New Balance, Diadora and Hitec. |

And they are not Polo shoes. | Well, I can guess why you think I'm a liar. They're men's shoes. Specifically, Ecko Unltd Turf shoes.
And I have to thank you so much. She caught me this morning looking at her shoes more closely, and rather than tell her 'I fence, and blah, blah, etc...' and deal with the 'That sounds so cool, can I watch' (she seemed the clingy sort...) I told her I had a foot fetish, and well, the conversation just got more interesting...
She's a closeted freaky girl with a boyfriend (they're his shoes, and yes he's shorter than her), and he's a little conservative and she's looking for someone to indulge her. I think I'm in love.
Oh, and I also get a kick out of people actually taking your posts seriously.

| I've reported this thread to Ecko Unlimited. The infringement of other people's intellectual property is a serious matter investigated by the FBI. The FBI has made intellectual property protection one of its national crime priorities.
Craig, as your legal advisor, I recommend that you put a hold on ReverseLunge's account. This would be a beginning 'good faith measure' that may allow you to keep the servers on which the evidence of his crime resides.
Don't worry, I already have screen prints of this egregious act as well as his name, address, telephone number, etc. I don't think they will hold you culpable for his heinous attempt to usurp the legal patents of legitimate businesses.

Oh my little rent a cop! I bet the shoe company is super happy that we fencers now know about them. lol. Maybe we should all pitch in some money to send you to see your gf finally. What are you doing here anyways? 15 years and only a D rating means you shouldn't post anywhere besides the cooler. |

Please turn yourself in to the nearest FBI Field Office. Mention case #100046A-31*$.123456 which is a coupon worth a cell all to yourself. I'll try to put in a good word, but can't promise you anything with the current campaign to squash juvenile dilenquency.

Deposit whatever amount you see fit. $5.00, $10.00, no amount is too small. I'll even pitch in a certain percentage of the proceeds to help with your legal expenses. I suspect the fines/sentence will be hefty. I have heard that the prosecutor intends to charge you with Intellectual Property Theft, Impersonating a Black Male, and Conspiracy to Impersonate a Dumbass.
With all your posts on F.net, the last charge should be worth at least 4 consecutive life sentences...
