    For the Arguments

    I'm not about to come back and once again immerse myself in the ulcerific arguments of this place, but I thought some of you might enjoy Scott Adams' views on origins arguments, and the way people go about it.

    Also, a quote off another entry that I think might apply well here:

    "To me, the most fascinating aspect of the debate over Darwinism versus Intelligent Design is that neither side understands the other side’s argument. Better yet, no one seems to understand their own side’s argument. But that doesn’t stop anyone from having a passionate opinion."

    indeed but when people say;

    "That makes him the poster child for my point that the average person (me) has no credible source of information on the topic of evolution."

    .... you have to say that they have passed from ironic observation to taking comfort in their own laziness.

    Only thing worse than having an idiotic misinformed opinion is refusing to hold an opinion because it would take to much effort and then claiming that this position is some profound observation on the nature of knowledge in our postmdern society...

    ..... but that might just be me.

    Actually, Keith, it's just you. I have no problem whatsoever in saying "I don't know--and it appears that you don't know, either." And I find that position infinitely preferable to simply taking an arbitrary stand just because you think you should have a stand.
    Nothing is more frightening than ignorance in action.
