    Greetings from Across the Water

Been a bit of a fan of Fencing.net for a while, but did not know they had a forum as well. That's quite cool.

Just wanted to put in a quick 'hello' on behalf of all the fencers at Liverpool University Fencing Club!

Developed an accent? I've always wanted to do that. The chicks dig guys with accents.

Yes, but it has to be the right accent.

I lived in Miami for too long, but didn't get the Thick Miami Cuban accent down, so I've been trying to pick up a slight accent here. The only ptoblem is I don't want to pick up the Liverpool Accent...

You could end up sounding like one of the Beatles . Anyway I'd like to say say 'Hello' (in my nice Irish accent) as I'm not so far from Liverpool, just a couple of hours on the ferry.

Welsh accents work. Tom Jones is Welsh, isn't he? Old coot, yeah, but he still sounds good. Don't despair.

What's up with the board suddenly being overrun by denizens of the British Isles, anway? Should we be worried?

I think that's cos you're in Wales... I bet Tom Jones just sounds like one of the natives when he's at home too.

I scared 'em all off with my randomness. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Indeed. But here's the problem - you'll be sitting around waiting to establish right of way, and then BAM! You lose the whole bloody empire. Oh, so that's what happened...

Not quite, everyone was too busy debating the values of Earl Grey vs. opium (and its' derivatives), and sampling copious quantities of both, to actually notice that about 1/3rd of the world had declared independence
