| Water Cooler Sub-forum suggestion If you glance through the front page of the watercooler, you will see about half of the threads are 200 page long games like word game, thread hijack game, and other similar things along the lines of saying something about the person above you. They clutter the other new threads and even though nothing is fencing related, there can be some interesting conversation generated by what members post.
I would like to suggest you make sub-forum in water cooler like you did in politics for these very long, repetitive game-threads. Or eventually, the entire front page will be nearly full of these things.
Thank you for you time in reading this suggestion.

| I don't think that this is a bad idea. If craig ever does a major upgrade I think that there is a problem with Vbulletin in that it might cut a lot of these threads off (or is that just related to the previous version?). I've thought for a while that it might be time to 'cull' these threads. I've nothing against them I just think that they are quite repetitive. They are popular so I've not done anything about it. |

| I don't think it would hurt to truncate some of the threads. I don't know how the forum pulls from the database, but it certainly wouldn't hurt to chop 'em off after a certain number put it in an archive that can still be viewed.

| I think there should be a water cooler limit on how often teenage girls can b!tch and moan about their inability to understand teenage boys. There should also be a six month limit on people discussing their potential lesbian love interests.
In my water cooler, people would have a 24 hour waiting period on posts, so they can think about whether it's important for everyone to know the little meaningless sh!t that goes on in their boring mundane little lives.
In my water cooler every word game would be like Survivor. Make too many dumbass associations. BANG. Your voted off the island. We don't appreciate your retarded sense of self.
Absolutely ZERO tolerance for minors discussing their sexuality.
People who need to use the internet for self-affirmation, because they feel like they get a raw deal from the people who actually know them and put up with their whiney sh!t on a daily basis? Lined up and shot right across the temple. Hopefully it won't kill them, but it just might turn them into a Pheneaus Gage type. The good kind who doesn't live for other people's approval.
Pseudo intellectual political partisans? Yep, tazered in the ben-wahs.
Do you purport yourself as a conservative? You should stop wasting your time, and go make some money. What are you doing here, when you could be getting felt up by the big invisible hand? What's wrong with you?
If you purport yourself as a Liberal. Who do you think you’re foolin', huh? Shouldn't you be ladling soup to the homeless? Is this just an intellectual exercise for you? Too make you feel more superior to your fellow man. Wow, you are smart. Ever wonder why your candidates don't have more mass appeal? Hint: because come off as a total ***.
Oh, and don't tell me about your sex/love life.

| You are free to depart at any time. You could even go and start your very own Water Cooler, where things would be done The Right Way! A win for all concerned... |

Thank you for you time in reading this suggestion. | To get back to the point. I would like to second this. Right now almost half of the front page is full of these type threads. I realize that is part of the character of the water cooler but a sub-forum would be nice.

| There's also another option of getting rid of all question games in general. Making posting about content, not who can respond to a question with a question. I'm not a big fan of dividing the forum up into more sub-forums though. |

It's been made very clear, back in the earlier pages of the game, that it is much more valued to answer the question with a statement, then ask a question. |

| I wanted to bring this point up again and wonder if there is any particular reason why a subforum is not created for the game type threads in the watercooler.

| Yeah I was about to repost my same thread. I'm glad to see I am not the only one who feels this way. It's just too much clutter. Hopefully Gav or Craig can act on this...

| It's under advisement right now, but I haven't had time to look into any forum issues recently. Will be a few days.

| I, for one, would like to have a choice between new posts with watercooler/politics and new posts without.
