The Sonoma State University Winter Classical Italian Fencing Seminar
will be held, Saturday and Sunday January 21st and 22nd, from 9am to
5pm, at Sonoma State University, P.E. Building room 1.
This will be an intensive program focusing mainly on the Italian foil
but also introducing Italian Epée and Sabre (including Italian
Broadsword).
Topics to be studied include, but are not limited to: History of the
Italian fencing school, the guard, foot work, placement of the weapon,
attacks--simple and compound, defense, counteroffense, bouting, and
advanced topics. Attendees will receive 1 unit of credit upon
completion of the class.
An optional dinner will be held Saturday Night along with extra gym
time for those who can't get enough.
