    Who's the "worst" Republican leader?

Listening to the news recently, it is fairly evident that the Republican party could use some new leadership, and fast. I don't want to turn this into "All Republicans are bad", because there are plenty of good ones out there. I don't want this to be a fight about Democratic versus Conservative leadership, because Democrats certainly have their own leadership problems but right now they are very different issues. I'm mostly concerned with the large number of potential crimes and other issues that though not criminal are fairly politically harmful. So who's hurting the most right now?

Bush - The Katrina debacle including the resignation of Micheal Brown still ring, along with his very secretive Supreme Court nominee Harriet Miers. However, he is not currently involved with any criminal action, and Ben Bernanke (the new chairman of the Fed come Jan 31st) seems to have been a solid choice.

Cheney - pretty much absent this entire term, but there are allegations he was involved with the CIA name leak.

Karl Rove - currently highly suspected of leaking the name of a CIA operative in retaliation for a disagreement regardin the war in Iraq. does not hold an elected position.

Bill Frist - Senate Majority Leader. currently under suspicion of having lied about knowledge of the contents of a blind trust, and further possible insider trading regarding the sales of stock of HCA shortly before information was released which sent the price of stocks down. Also a kitten-killer.

Tom Delay - House Majority Leader. Indicted for campaign finance crimes in which he laundered PAC money through the national party back to himself and other Texas Republicans. Also failed to report funds in said PAC. Previously accused of gerrymandering to disenfranchise minority voters in home state of Texas.

So, who's in the most trouble? Whose trouble is the most politically significant? How many conservative talk radio hosts will spend this time complaining about Bill Clinton?

Mao Tse-Tung. I just started reading the new biography about him, and it says how at an early age he started promoting Republican ideals.

    Oh, sorry - different Republicans!

    Hi!

Worst in what way? Worst in the meaing "most likely to hurt GOP chances in upcoming elections", or "committed the most morally/legally objectionable act", or "caused most snafu within the GOP due to his lacking leadership skills", or what?

    Do specify.

    Have a nice time!

Why so negative? Let's concentrate on the positives; Bill Frist may be busted for insider trading, but he's an excellent physician!

After all, he managed to diagnose Terri Schiavo, overturning expert opinions after merely watching five minutes of video footage. I can't imagine that the residency for neurology is too similar to heart surgery, but that just shows what an talented doctor Bill Frist is!

No leader has ever lowered taxes at a time of war. Bush Jr has done it twice.
