    Question about lines

Ok.. at a competition this year there was a guy doing a line where, rather than doing a derobement (sp?), he changed lines (ie from four to under the arm, etc). Is this just considered a derobement or what?

    The fencer establishes line
Then attempts to avoid a take, and changes the position of his line to hit the flank?

If that's what happened, no ref I know of would call that line.
