Fencing at the Fringe!

Hi folks my fencing club is organising a couple of events at the Edinburgh Fringe. One is an official event the other is our 'come & try' event. If anyone is in Edinburgh feel free to drop by and join in or say, "hi!".

1. Fringe Sunday Fencing Display - Sunday 11th August
The club has been kindly been offered use of the space allocated to Venture Scotland to put on a fencing display. This will take the format of people fighting on the box and some explanatory talks about the various weapons & the history of fencing.

Although we will not be able to offer any coaching to new starts, there will be fun events for kids e.g. bursting ballons with foils. Some of the ballons will contain sweets or other prizes.

Please come along and support this. You don't need to commit to being there for the whole afternoon as there will be plenty of other things of interest taking place.

2. Come & Try Session - Saturday 17th August

This will take place at Royal Commonwealth Pool in the cafe area beside Clambers from 10.00am to 6.00pm. There will be instruction for complete Beginners (a taster session - Gav).
