This sport is lovely, and it kills you a little bit at a time. It sucks the life out of you, and puts it into somebody else, the fencer. Its depressing and uplifting. Like setting a new goal that just drags ya down.

Why sabre? Because you don't take heads with the point.

This sport is like a women. It's unpredictable, it'll leave you broke, you'll have to chase it across the country (and maybe the world), and if your lucky after years of wearing funny tight clothing, you might come home with the gold

Before... but he wasn't quite turned into a robot. Not in the book anyway.

For the first reincarnation. There were about 500 or so.

More and more as time goes by...

But I'll stick with it through college. Don't know about after college though, if injuries don't get the best of me, that is.

Not so much sick of it as coming to terms with the fact that it's just not as big a part of my life as it used to be, and probably won't be again, as long as I'm in school.

    I hate fencing.

Ever since I started fencing I have found that all previous sources of joy pale in comparison.

Now I think about fencing way too much and I have spent so much time and money on it already.

    Curse you, fencing!!

That would be the one downside I find to this forum... I had no idea that people were freaking out about this thing or that thing. Guess I was a little naive. Watching people argue over what's better, the LP or Allstar mask is one thing, but watching a bunch of people (virtually) walking around with their little sandwich boards saying "Repent, foilists - the end is nigh!" gets a little old after a while.

But the actual fencing itself? Nope, I'm enjoying it a lot, and every time I learn something new, I enjoy it a little bit more.
