Array The Ethics of Magic From today's news:
..Acclaimed illusionist DAVID COPPERFIELD is hoping to impregnate a female participant on stage without touching her, for his latest trick.
..The American magician, who was once engaged to supermodel CLAUDIA SCHIFFER, promises sex will not be involved, but refused to elaborate on the controversial plans.
..He tells German magazine Galore, "There is a great deal of new territory to conquer. In my next show I'm going to make a girl pregnant on stage.
.."Naturally it will be without sex. Everyone will be happy about it, but I'm not telling you any more."
..Copperfield's show An Intimate Evening of Grand Illusion is currently touring Germany.
Now, magic takes lots of practice to get it just right. How many woman did he impregnate in the process of developing this trick? Is he going to provide for all of the resulting children? (It appears that Tom Cruise will be providing for at least one , but what of the others?) Were the babies created only to be aborted? What about the ethical ramifications of botched attempts? Comments, please. Just because you have the right, that doesn't mean it is right. -

Array That is a very possible trick but you need to use a hispanic woman. -

Array Heck, all you need to do is place a teenage girl downwind of a teenage boy, sometimes. Just because you have the right, that doesn't mean it is right. -

Array This is why I don't go to magic shows. That, and the possibility that there might be clowns. <shudder> -

I'm not seeing where that would be nearly as much fun as the traditional way. One test is worth a thousand opinions. Yikes! I needed a little magic not to have kids! I won't even let a man look at me without protection. Beer, it's whats for dinner! ~ a young snowboarding Canadian The meek don't want it! ~ sticker on a rock band's guitar -

Array ugh, people shouldn't be throwing around pregnancy as if it meant nothing. hell, people should'nt even breed before 30. birth control should be strongly encouraged and tubals approved for anyone. i for one, do not want a kid and if i did choose to have one, it would only be b/c i am in the right place in my life and have sufficient funds to support myself and to give the kid private schooling. nobody would ever be able to say that cornflower popped out a kid doomed to live in surrey and to grow up thinking that a pair of baby blue jazz pants with 'babe' or 'sexy' printed on the *** is a fashion staple.
and someody better reply to this 'cause my keyboard driver disappeared and this post took forever to type up with the onscreen keyboard!!!!! -

Grrrl... when you hit 30, you'll most likely be hit by the "need to breed". If you have kids, I think you'll make a cool mom. If you don't that's great too, because one door doesn't close without another being open and I'm sure you'll do some interesting things with the extra time and money being childless brings. Well, of COURSE it will be without sex! ( Doesn't 'Schiffer' mean 'beard' in German? )
How many woman did he impregnate in the process of developing this trick?
I'm guessing 'zero'. -
