    Fencing for NES system

Some of you may be aware that back in the original Nintendo days, Konami made a game called "Track and Field II". There were many sports games (that aren't even related to track and field) with it.

One of these games is fencing! It's a really fun and good version of fencing too. A is parry and B is attack. They move up and down the strip pretty fast too! Attached is an NES Emulator (So you can play it on your computer), and the game file. Try it!

    Now.

You should also look into Pirates! for the NES. It was my favorite game on that system, and it has a duelling simulator. It was recently remade for PC, and it's definately worth picking up a copy if you see it.
"If I were ever to challenge you to a duel, your best bet would be battle axes in a very dark basement." Misquoted from The Prisoner

"Technical excellence is the antecedant of tactical creativity." - Nat Goodhartz

But those things which belong neither to God nor to Caeser, feeleth free to writeth them off, for yea, they are deductable.

Pirates was an awesome game. You could choose what blade you wanted to use and board different kinds of ships. It was great. After every conquest you had to fight a duel with the captain or fort commander.

Actually "Sid Meier's Pirates" first came out for a variety of platforms (including the PC) back in the late 80's. At the time it ran off a bootable floppy disk.

The game was updated in the mid 90's and released as "Pirates Gold" - unfortunately while the graphics were wonderfully detailed (patterned after Dutch masters), they were mostly still shots and the game appeared dated by the time it was released. a few years later Sid Meier's company (Microprose) was bought out and he went off on his own.

The latest version of Pirates came out a few months ago - no idea how it plays (or even what it looks like), however the original still regularly appears in lists of the greatest PC games of all time.

However the "dueling" always seemed a little weak.
