    please help me with sabre

    i have been fencing foil for about 1 year and have choosen to move over to sabre, so i know the footwork but i have no equipment for sabre at home , can you think of anyway i can train at home with out a sabre or anyone to train with ? also i would like to ask for any tips or advice for sabre fencing .

    If you you don't have the electric gear yet, try to get a non-electric ("dry") practice sabre. That way you can practice some footwork and parries at home. In the meantime, practice footwork. No forward cross steps are allowed.

    In additional for what Coup de Grace said, you can also face the mirror while doing your footwork and handwork to check the proper execution of your movement.
