    It's actually spelled Sherry

Whiskey's an acquired taste, and you don't acquire it by pounding shots. Good whiskey needs to be sipped more often than tossed down. That's what you do to polish off a tumbler, on a toast, or on the last drink of the night.

Maybe the USFA could get Target to advertise with their logo dead center on a fencer's chest! Even better, how about Wilkenson Sword razor blades.

Gosh dern it, that's the second liquour I've mispelled today. Sorry!

Greg: Ouch....yet, very devious. I'd put that with the clear visor masks that way you can see the colour drain out of your opponents face when you hit them smack in the middle of Target's target.

By the way, is there a fencing magazine in the US? They have one for every other sport.

It's not really a liquor; liquor is distilled whereas wine is fermented

American Fencing. A subscription comes free with a USFA membership. You can also get Escrime, the FIE's magazine, in english, and the Swordmaster, the USFCA's newlsetter, is I believe free witha membership there. I don't know too much about the last one as I never got involved with the USFCA.

No problem. And I can't help it if I know a decent amount about alchohol, I was raised by an Irish father and a German mother. They taught me well.

Similar story here. I'm 3/4 Irish, 1/4 German Jew. Every Sunday, it's corned beef and cabbage!

Ew! Besides, there are few cows and no cabbage on the whole island, let alone corn. Where did people get the idea to serve that on St. Patty's day anyway?

I don't know, we got the corned beef from the German side. Either that or we'd bust out with the scnitzel (I probably spelled that wrong. Oh well).

You're close enough, and I'm trying to not be a jerk about such things

I do LOVE german food; much moreso than Irish fare. Schnitzel, kassler ripchen, all manner of wursts (particularly wiess and brot)... Man, now I'm hungry.

I can't believe they won't let me bring a hot plate into the lab. I'd kill for some spaetzels right now.
