Christian Vidosa Memorial Tournament

We at the Knights of Siena can say the we were privileged to know Vidosa
and call him a friend. We were stunned when we learned about his
condition, and then his untimely parting from this world. How many fencing
stories did we have the honor of listening to while sharing a meal after the
many tournaments attended in Canada? It was his input in the
layout for the PFL tournaments that allowed for many changes that exist in
fencing today. He was one of the greatest. May his memory never be
forgotten.

CHRISTIAN VIDOSA
(1949-2004)
JUDGING CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

-3 OLYMPIC GAMES

-10 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

-7 JUNIOR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

-"A" IN ALL 3 WEAPONS

October 15th and 16th, 2005

Preregistration: http://askfred.net/Events/moreInfo.p...nament_id=1290

(On a personal note, I had the honor of meeting Vidosa'a best friend, and keeper of his ashes, John Makela over the weekend. He gave this tournament his whole-hearted blessing, and wishes he were able to attend. Unfortunately, this particular weekend, did not work out for him, but he wants us to know that he and Mr. Vidosa will be with us in spirit.)
