It is the office favourite (I know this because i am in charge of tea and coffee buying, and I bought a sack of 1150 pg tips pyramids the other day. Other brands cause extensive whinging).
I feel so bad that you can't get it. Shall I post you some as a Christmas present?

OMG!!!!! If you sent me PG Tips at Christmas I would be in debt to you forever!!! We don't even have anything in the swanky little pyramid bags......just the stupid flat bags that don't work right. I've taken to drinking loose leaf tea most of the time. (It's still not PG Tips). I bought a massive sack the last time I was in the UK, but unfortunately, that was in 1999, and I drink a lot of tea. |

| Fencergal33 you may want to look for Dilmah tea next time you're shopping. It is one of the best teas I could find. Since I have been drinking it, I find it hard to drink regular tea as it is never bitter.

| Ah, a wish list for things UK?
Lou, do you still have those little bags of "Cheese Moments" crisp-like thingies? I'll trade some for meatballs or whatever swedish you fancy!
Feel free to keep the vinegar flavoured crisps. *bleurgh*
They're an abomination (as I'm sure Inq would put it)!

They're an abomination (as I'm sure Inq would put it)! | I'll look. And salt and vinegar crisps are yummy! I've always felt foreign crisps to be a bit bland. There's nothing like the tastebud-shrivelling effect of a salt and vinegar crisp. And who can beat prawn cocktail flavour?!

You obviously don't have things like caramalised onion and sea salt, or honey soy sauce chicken or whatever it is.
There's some weird flavours down here (novelty stuff, really - the most popular are ready salted, chicken, salt and vinegar like everywhere else)

There's some weird flavours down here (novelty stuff, really - the most popular are ready salted, chicken, salt and vinegar like everywhere else) | We have them too. Thai sweet chilli, oven-roast chicken and thyme... fancy bollocks. Expensive too. Some of them are just fancy names for old flavours - sea salt and malt vinegar? Mature Cheddar and Roast Onion? Do me a favour! Even sour cream and chive is just basically cheese and onion. Which I loathe.
Fencergal, vinegar is best on the fatter sort of chips that we have in the UK, rather than the thin crunchy french-fry type, I find.
Here is a top english takeaway recipe, popular with students who have just lurched out of a nightclub:
Take one portion of chips. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Put in microwave until cheese melts. Eat whilst walking home.

| Seeing as we are now talking about crisps and not sms enabled kettles ...
The best crisps on the market, at present (and by far) are tyrells. I particularly love their parsnip crisps but they're difficult to get hold of out of season.
Lou' for the best salt and vinegar crisps (I don't like golden wonder ones or anything like that) try Tyrells Sea Salt and Cider Vinegar flavoured crisps - they're ace.
No, I'm not sponsored by them or anything (I wish). |

Ok...I'm starting to make a Christmas list for anyone who loves me and wants to send me stuff from the UK.
1) Tyrell's Sea Salt and Cider Vinegar crisps.
2) PG Tips tea
3) The black currant soda I had while over there, but I can't remember the brand name!!! (I think it also came in mandarin or something like that) |

| Oooh oooh oooh! and:
4) Cadbury's chocolate....namely 'Whispamint' yummy. You see, they sell "Cadbury's" over here, but its incredibly crappy.......not the real thing. (And they don't have the best candy bar flavors)
I know there isn't much over here, but anyone have any requests from the US? About the only things we have that NC is known for are Lance Crackers and Moravian Cookies. |

| The most famous blackcurrant drink is Ribena, but that isn't fizzy.... *thinks* Wait, could it be blackcurrant Tango? Tango is mostly orange but there are other flavours too and I have definbitely seen blackcurrant.
