I seem to recall someone telling me you weren't supposed to eat some part of the rhubarb plant... any idea which one, or if that's even true?

| I would definitely like to be a fennel bulb. Some folks call it anise (but it's not). Lovely, delicate fronds on regal stalks. And the taste... slightly like black licorice, slightly like celery... Yes, fennel.

| Yes, Wench, I've often thought of you as fennel. I grow the bronze variety, and brushing against it while walking through the herb garden releases the wonderful aromas. You could also be coriander.
I, myself, am like bamboo, which is a grass. Vegetative, though not necessarily thought of as a vegetable.
