| I was watching this comedian who proposed that guys are clutter-blind. We just don't see clutter. Well at least a lot of us don't (I have trouble with this), it really should be studied by professionals.

Other than that; I am "da bomb" in the kitchen. So the ladies say. |

I even tried a rice cooker... it usually burns (aklthough I like the burny stuff) or gets very sticky. |

I guess if you're used to it, it'd be easier...

I always had trouble cooking rice (always turned out sticky), but after reading Alton Brown's book and watching the episode of his show where he did rice, I'm now a rice master. I use 1 2/3 cups water to 1 cup rice, and never (and I do mean never) even look at the lid whilst cooking is underway...

| Cooking rice.
I had problems with this for years, but am now proficient.
The trick is that after removing from heat, it must set for a while (2 mins), toss gently with a fork, and then leave uncovered for at least 5 minutes before serving.

| A little sticky helps you pick it up with chopsticks. Too sticky and it doesn't come out of the pot.

| I bought a pressure cooker a few weeks ago. I am amazed. Stews and soups that used to take 5-8 hour now can be done in 45 minutes to an hour. |

I guess if you're used to it, it'd be easier... | My teacher says that it's not hard to learn to use Celcius, as the main reason most people use a temperature system is so they know what kind of clothing to put on. Here's Foster's 20-second explanation of the Celcius system: 0, wear a coat; 10, wear a sweater; 20, wear a shirt; 30, wish you could take it off; 40, hide somewhere with air conditioning.
Memorize that and you'll be fine. It's worked well enough for me. |

| I can cook rice perfectly when I'm making it only for myself...when I make it for Nick I always end up messing it up somehow.
I'm a weakling - I have a complete inability to punch test a mask.

I guess if you're used to it, it'd be easier... | Celsius is a lot easier. Metric is almost always easier anyway. But doh, if you grew up only knowing Fahrenheit then of course it's gonna sound easier to you. I'm fine with both actually. I grew up using Celsius (well, I learned everything in metric) until I was 12. Bleh.

Memorize that and you'll be fine. It's worked well enough for me. | And what happens when it occasionally reaches 50° like where I used to live in Phoenix?
