    Basketball shoes for fencing

I've recently started fencing in basketball shoes, and I have to say, these are some of the most comfortable shoes for fencing I've ever worn. They have good support, traction, are not too heavy, and are nice and cushiony so that you dont hurt your feet. Currently I wear a pair of $30 shaqs from payless, and despite looking large, they're not bad. Atleast not for epee.

Cookies on dowels. All those moment, lost in time. Gone, like eggs off a hooker's stomach. Time to die" -Phil Ken Sebben

I haven't tried basketball shoes, but I've heard good things about volleyball shoes. I also looked at a pair of puma running shoes last time I bought sneakers, but because of the expense of college I fence in the same sneakers I wear every day. If I had the money, though, I would definately have gone for the pumas; they were the lightest shoes I have ever seen and they still got good traction.

I use a pair of Hi-Tech squash shoes which do the job quite nicely.... Identical to their fencing shoes except for having 'fencing' on the heel instead of 'squash'.

Wrestling or boxing shoes are typically light and rounded at the heel. However, you need to place gel insoles to make them comfortable for fencing.

UH OH! Did somebody get hit with the grumpy stick?

For every one of these threads there's a post by you complaining about it.

If the thread has the word 'shoe' in it... ignore it. Just let it go man...
