| New Foilist to Fencing.net!
Yo d00d's and d00dettes!
I'm Ritesh...I usually go by RYP online, my initials. I fence foil at UF. One of my other friends is a member here who referred me to this extremely resourceful website/forum.
A little about me - I used to be a sabrist back about 6/7 years ago. Then I had to stop for health reasons. Now I'm back, and decided that I need more point control more so than slashing, so I went to foil about 2 years ago. I can't say I'm good, b/c I know I suck. I'm sure 90% of you could easily beat me if given the opportunity.
I look forward to being an active member here and ultimately using the resources available here to improve my foiling skillz! Then I can go to temple and yell "MOD SKILLZ!" or something along those lines.
If you couldn't tell already, I'm a very weird fencer so yea....
Anyway, I look forward to being here. See you all around!

I love it when I see fencers go on this site because they think they'll gett magically better by READING.
I'm seriously not attacking you here RYP, I agree that this site is great for info, but seeing all these fencers who start by saying similar stuff like that... it makes me laugh  .

Eh - its not so much reading and getting better...Its more so reading about other people and how they practice and how they got better, and mimicing those practices and attempting to get better just like they have. Mainly I have some issues with point control and I was hoping on getting various input how to do better at it. I also have quite a few weirdo questions - like stuff pertaining to lockout time, etc.
Anyway, there's different types of fencers out there - I'm the observational one. I can adopt and transform well - I learn quickly
