We don't have them set at all, either by a vendor, or by ourselves. I
don't see any need to do so, and therefore see a need not to. Also, I've
never seen a sharp weapon with the blade angled any sort of way. Doesn't
mean there aren't any, but I've never seen one, in person, or in a picture.

Triplette WILL set the blade unless you ask them not to, and make it clear
what you mean. We've had some trouble with this more than once.

    Re: [CFML] Re: Hi all

I've had weapons arrive with HORRIBLY set tangs before - and seen students
improve 200% after I'd reset the blade to point somewhere useful. We've had
too positive, too negative and 'WTF?' settings on foils, epees and sabres at
various times. The worst one was a horrifically negative sabre that one of
our guys was trying to use. He know it felt wrong but had no idea why he
kept missing cuts or landing them awkward - this would be because the point
was about 2 inches behind where his brain and training (and hand position)
said it should be, and the balance of the weapon was... umm, most
    interesting.

Not sure why it was set up this way but there you go.

These days I tend to take a look at every new weapon that appears in the
class, just in case. It saves on 'it's new, that's why it's awkward. I'll
    get used to it' syndrome!
