[CFML] Chest Protectors A couple cents from the Peanut Gallery
Sternum Fractures... I had never heard of sternum fractures until this thread.
What kinds of blades are being used? I've seen idiots break ribs while fencing
unprotected with schlagers.
Bruising... Some people just bruise more easily than others. I require my
combatants to wear the basics... I highly recommend a Cloth Plastron... And
make hard protectors optional... however we use modern sabre as our
weapon of choice. For Myself... Having been hit in the groin twice in an
afternoon... I wear a cup. Urinating blood for two days is not worth the slight
discomfort. Among the group that I was working with at the time (a german
mercanary acting/re-enacting troupe) to be hit in the groin twice in a day was
nicknamed to be "Morgan-ed". A little joke at my expense... I can laugh now.
I echo the question about the what group focus is.
And as an aside... Does anyone know of an outlet for jackets that might have
a classical flair?
Sincerely
Morgan Shea
