| Allez!
Who knew my high school French would one day come in handy... 
I'm 40, but new to fencing - it's been about 8 months. I'm fencing Epee and am loving it - I wish I could have started this years ago. I still su...um, am rather inconsistent - but I have a ton of fun with it. 
I look forward to learning more from everyone here.

I'm sure you will like F-Net.
There's lots of epeeists, (there's a thread for epeeists). People who started fencing after 40 (like me!) and others who started before they turned 40 & are still fencing. There are also other star gazers (such as ThatReallyHurts).
And of course, people who speak French (Veeco comes to mind but I know there are many more). As well as quite a few people from So Ca.

I'm a coach in Italy and in my club many persons start fencing near 40 but they are not so bad and they have a lot of fun. | |

I'm over 40 too and we ROCK! What is the saying? "Age and treachery will overcome youth and vigor!" t'swhat I'm talkin' about. Ever check out www.biblicalastronomy.com? There's some interesting newsletters about celestial events if your into that sort of thing.
