New rules : Petition in preparation

----------------

A large petition in different languages is in preparation.

Be prepared.

Good luck with the petition. You know its funny the more I thought about it, the reason I think I like the new timings so much is that I actually am more of an epeeist than a foilist in my outlook on everything even though I've mostly trained and competed in foil. So the debate has helped me a lot in figuring out what my true main weapon should be.

The petition will not be only about these broken test timings but all the new
dangerous rules in preparation (clear visors, suppress non valid hits etc ...)
and the way they are decided meprising the practionnists.

I had felt this news few months ago, and I had looked for information in a post on escrime-info.com; now, information have looked to me; it won't be a petition “against” Roch!
If we believe that Roch is a tyrant, it doesn't have sense demolish him to create a new tyrant.
If instead we believe that Roch is a skilled political man (but not a technician) we have to show us to be participate, and talk him with the political language, recommending him, with good matters, toward the correct direction; also experienced people of other sporting disciplines, say that he is going to the wrong direction.

Yes it will be formulated politely that he is an autocrat :-)

there is a dvd circulating around with top level foil without the off target light that apparantly looks pretty good.

I'm trying to get a copy.

It's b.s. translation. My guess is it should be "holding the practicioners of the sport in contempt"

Dear Alan:
I don't know who you are and we never interacted. Thank you for your interest, but ... please refrain from implying that you are part of what we (a group of fencers and fencing aficionados around the world) try to do.
Your way of kicking sand in the playground, always in other people eyes, is doing more harm than good to our cause. We wish for everyone to keep their eyes wide open.
We are not in a personal crusade against anyone in the FIE, neither king, nor knight.
We want to work WITH the FIE and cooperate with them for the benefit of the sport we love. Your shrill and uncalled for rants do not help us, our cause, or even your own personal cause.
Thank you.

Dear Toni,

I will keep my freedom and continue to say the truth.
The truth is that the FIE is managed autocratically.
I am not either against the FIE, just want the FIE to cooperate with
the real people interested by fencing : the fencers themselves.

I will be with any group which will try to influence the catastrophic
King of the FIE towards a better understanding of fencers and fencing
and i will of course sign your petition.
