Array shorter FIE blades availability I have had a several people ask where I get my shorter blades from. Recently, another fencer that uses shorter blades sent me a private message that worked out well for me. I purchased 6 FIE #4 blades (bare) from Triplette Competition Arms. Both kinds that they sent were from the BF forge. One blade type was square at the base and very stiff which I use for training. The others are rectangular in cross-section with a very nice smooth flexibility. All were tinted blue.
I've broken four blades (all FIE, some from the 1980's) in the last two months and wanted to replenish my supply. I sent an email to them (Triplette) the other day to find out what they currently had in the way of #4 length blades and they sent me quite a list. I ordered three Vniti 4 length blades to try.
Zero length blades are available from any number of vendors but no one that I know makes anything shorter than a 3 length (Leon Paul) in FIE quality. Similar Threads -
