so yeah, I think you meant the "sex" part in that comment. | Blegh. All this technical terminology is too confusing. Speak plainly. She's attracted to both guys and girls, and is currently pursuing a relationship with another lady. Am I right? Besides, she said as she saw it. As long as her message gets across, what does it matter?

i don't think she necessarily made a mistake.
i'm bi, and i don't have criteria for either sex OR gender, other than the person be somewhat self-aware.......

| Yes, Thanks MP.
I'm an Anthropology major, I'm very much aware of the difference between gender and sex.

| For those waiting for an explination to the joke - here is how it was explained to me... It didn't click with me either until it was explained and then it made some sense, although, it still falls into the context of pretty tasteless...
The $10,000 (or so) pays for a semester or so at an exclusive all-women's university. And apparently there is a term referring to certain (not all) attendees of such insitutions as being "Lesbians Until Graduation." Now, weather that means that a "dyke" is such a person or a "lesbian" is, in the context of the joke, I am not sure. Or perhaps it means that one of them attended such a school, and the other did not?
Your milliage may differ...
Okay, I've had my insensitive, discrimanatory and non-PC moment for the year. I'll now go back to just causing trouble with a sabre.

Humph. | Meh. Seen that movie a million times. Keep us posted, though. And good luck, by the way. Not that it sounds like you need it. You make your own luck! Here's a link to a quick way to get up to speed on the rugby rules and game play! Quote: |

How many epee fencers does it take to screw in a light bulb?
One... he stands there holding the bulb and waits for the world to turn around him.
Okay, that wasn't a good one either. But it was better than that other one, by jove. |

| Why are there no embarrased emoticons? I keep looking for one and then remembering it's not there. Sorry for being an a**hole, anyway.
What movie??

What movie?? | The movie about the bi-confused 20 year old college girl who jumps from guys to girls and back leading to complicated problems that produce much drama. The one where everyone thinks it's the end of the world because they don't understand that everyone under the age of 25(ish) is an overdramatic clueless tweak who wouldn't understand life and the larger world if it bit them on the face. Everything could be explained away with a simple "you're young and have time so if this doesn't work out than so what, you just chalk it up as learning and move on" but instead there's just way to much baggage and drama and Jerry Springer.
See? I can be an a**hole, too!
Seriously, though, I hope it works out and I hope you don't fall into that pattern that I just drew! Remember, if it doesn't work out, such is life. It sounds positive, thus far, however. And if you need professional tasteful pictures done... you know where to find me. |

And if you need professional tasteful pictures done... you know where to find me. | I am admittedly hopelessly overdramatic. About everything. Almost always. But I've always been like that. Artistic temperment, don't ya know. When I'm not moping or mooning over someone I am, however, fairly practical about my love life. As my (okay, I have no right to use that possesive there, but typing "the rugby player I'm interested in" all the time is getting old) rugby player would sing... "que sera, sera.... whatever will be, will be...."

She'll be yours soon enough, so you could just get use to saying "my". The sordid little minx.
2. que sera, sera? Has she been spending a little too much time at the Oktoberfest? If she starts singing "Heidi" or "Hände zum Himmel" then run. Or pour a beer. |

She (and I) sing "Que Sera" because it was a part of the play we teched earlier this semester. And thank you for your optimism.
